Got an SAFC, want advice as to where to mount it...I've seen ashtray mounts (cool, very James Bondish), flush mounted below the radio (they had an aftermarket cd player, i don't..stock) and up on the dash...any input?

Id say mount it right in the middle of the gauge cluster so you can see it clear and everything else too

no, dont do it there. I'd either put it where the ashtray is because it is nice and concelaed when you want it and you can easily route the wire. Another place i've been wanting to put it is in the passenger side air vent in the center console.

When I had my MR2, I had it mounted from the roof. Right in front of my rear view mirror. It was pretty sweet. I had it perfectly there so it wasnt in the way of the mirror and you could see it perfectly. I didnt do that with the RX because I couldnt hide the wires without ripping something. Ashtray it was.
