how the hell does that not hit the rear suspension with that offset. thats like, FD offset.

It doesn't, I can go to 265 in tire size and that's the max see the pic on my link.

o really?

I suppose if you like to strech skinny 225 on to a 9 inch rim then yes they would kinda fit... but lets face it, thats not optimal for "real" performance

blah blah blah stretching tires blah blah

most people run 215s on 9's anyways. who cares.

i didnt say anything about stretching in that post, just showing what fits. to me it looks like theres room up in the front for more tire, maybe with a little more roll, but the potential is there.

ultimately, tire compound is more important then sheer tire size..

also you have to remember depends on water tire your running also.

but the size your looking for and the information given will work, worst comes to worst, you use that old wood baseball bat and run it a few times between tire and fender to roll it ( and heat it up with a heat gun if you have a nice paint job ). and your set.

While we are on the subject of wheels and offset. I want to stick with 17x7 and the same size tire. What offset and or spacer will I need to make the wheel sit close to flush. and size tire works front and rear? And on the subject of stock wheel for auto x reasons, stock 195/60HR15s should I use a 205/55R15 or some 215/50R15s looking to get some R compound rubber for those wheels.

These are the 17x7s im thinking about getting

with 7 inch wide, +20 is good in the front and 0 is good in the back. so shoot for that. maybe a few mm less spacer depending on camber and tire size.

Thanks for the reply Lee, as far as camber goes I guess stock settings will do unless I need to set it up differently for auto x...damn there is so much **** I need to learn! I dont have a lot of cash so I dont want to be eating up my tires with a lot of camber also.
