OK well I will go make one if someone orders, there is a good shop down the street (talk prices later)

25,000 Yahoo auction.

Humm ok add tax 5%, add Yahoo fee 3% add shipping of aluminum roughly $25-$30, HINTS the $265.95 price shipped, with the actual YEN conversion that we get.(this was me making ONE HELL-O deal) Granted I can get my own metal free, and the machining I could have a buddy do it, if the shops in Japan were busy for just a case of beer.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO I forgot, dont forget they have to ship it to me, so I can pack properly, so thats another $10. Most packages coming in from YAHOO AUCTIONs are in bubble wrap only, mutiple boxes, not international shippable..

SORRY if i sound like a dick, but YAHOO AUCTIONS are pissing me off since most everyone sees 2,000 yen and says that only $18.00 I will take it, but they dont want to pay more then $18.00. If you got it it EBAY would it only be $18? NOPE.

Now I have some regulars that buy stuff every week and understand perfectly what is up. I make close to "0" since I have to box it FREE, Pack it FREE and drive to the post office or UPS etc... to ship it.

Maybe I should post a THREAD about it? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/violin.gif

Lets put it this way folks, Yahoo auctiions are great IF you live in Japan, have a japnese bank account, can speak and read japanese and you know the system. I played with the auctions while I was there, and yes I know about all the hidden fee's and JT you forgot about the bank transfer fee. My posting of the price was to tell you what they listed for on auction ussually, which is a STARTING price, it does not mean they will sell for that. JT is a business man as most of you are, Selling items is what he does, and he may or may not make a profit, I am not his personal accountant. but I do know from playing on the auctions and E-bay americans are fickle, they will pay $200 for a set of FC taillights that they can buy from a local junkyard, but will scoff at a guy trying to sell an item for a small profit. The thing you have to realize is that a lot of the cost involves international shipping. Not everybody has the ability to get to a US post office on a military base in Japan (such as Jason) so he has to ship through international mail, now fourth class mail from japan, which would be the cheapest, would arrive just in time for christmas.....next year.

Jason, let me know if you decide to get one made, I'll be a test dummy for you.

"Thanks THECAMEL..."

Yeah I forgot about bank transfer fees haha

No kidding on other mail. I wish I could send it other ways, but EMS is the best, tracking, insurance, and quick.

On base--I remember it hehe anything would cost right at $20 to send, as long as its not too big for USPS like EMS also.

I agree..... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

I wish they didnt do that BS with the 5% tax and 3% service charge, but a lot of people are greedy for cash over here too.

Strangly enough, I really dont buy anything for my car on the auctions, unless its none electrical or mechanical, i always like to get those things new.

Maybe we can move this over to the 2nd GEN section since the part is for them basically and if there was an interest I could have them made pretty cheap.

I'll move it for you https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Holy ****! I want one!

jspecracer7 11-21-2003 12:11 AM

Here's a perfect example of the yahoo auctions system.

I bought a CF Type R integra ash tray for Rutt. Start bid was 100Y. He set max at 1000Y. Final bid price was 110Y = $1.10 ... With bank fees, yahoo fees, shipping...it came out to 2600Y...or roughly $26.00 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

The adapter is not necessery for the swap. While the electrical pigtail would be nice to have (to use the FD TPS on an FC), attaching the manifolds together (S5 lower to S6 upper) requires lengthening the bolt holes on the S6 manifold and port matching the manifolds. I've been told the S6 gasket is better to use.
