Whats The Max Torque For A S5 N/a Tranny?

i think teh s5 tranny is just fine, if you are talkign about syncros then you just need to learn how to shift, if you actually kill gear teeth then u drive too hard, i have done plenty launches and racign on my s5 na tranny and its as good as it was when i got it, it was 148k on it now. the 5th syncro was shot when i got it but nothign revmathing cant fix

Kahren, you put in a ported motor and see how long those teeth last. My S5 tranny never missed a beat with a stock port engine, or even my aux bridge. It only took me a month after breaking in the SP engine that I broke it. I couldnt drive the car without worrying my 5th gear wouldnt be there by the time I got to where I was going. And it sounded like tryign to run a screwdriver through a pencil sharpener when you drove it. I still need to pull it apart, see what damage I caused. I found a few teeth when I drained the fluid.

does anyone know if a JDM wiring harness for an S5 TII will work with the USDM TII ECU? thanks for any help.
