My wife is getting me a mazdatrix short shifter, for the s4, for Valentines Day. She wants to get me a knob as well. On the voo doo site it says it will fit a miata and fds. Does anyone know if it will fit an s4 fc? I've seen pics of people with voo doo knobs in their fc.

Ya I think those people have S5 shifters, I have a an S4 with a C's short throw shifter and it has the S5 threads ie miata and FD's

Well can i use an s5 shifter? Or does anyone know of any nice knobs that will fit and s4 shifter? i don't want to have to rethread anything.

i thought all of the import cars had the same/universal shifter knob threads?

E-mail sent to Mazdatrix...hopefully they can change the order with no problems (order was placed early this evening).

The S5 shifter has the same threads as the miata and FD. I believe S4 has the same threads as the S2000.

I have a voodoo shift knob from an S2000, with a custom short shifter in my GTU.

i'm 90% sure thats right, or it was some kind of mr2, but they do make one in the right thread size for s4, they just dont know it

well hopefully they can change the order without any hassle, just to eliminate some confusion in the long run.
