It could be a simple load issue, maybe a short in the wiring harness causing the secondaries to trip out, lol. It's hard to get to the bottom of some issues when the car isn't right here. With as many issues that you have posted about on that car, I can't begin to think of what may cause this bogging.

Also, if your learning rotaries, and "hope the motor blows" so you can do your own setup, etc since you didn't build the one that is in it...what makes you think you can build a better setup? Use the motor for as long as you can as a learning block. You can pick up blown s4 6port motors all day for like $150 or less...just shop around. Tear it down, and learn that way. Don't blow a recently rebuilt motor just for the sake of rebuilding it.

**** it then, throw the god damn motor out and everything under the hood and start from scratch caus eit sobvious your car right now, as it is, is buttfucked.

you're siliconing OMP lines together, swapping s4->s5 randomly bla bla bla.

seriously just throw everything in the engine bay out and start the **** over.

either that or just give it up. your car needs serious work in more then a couple areas so its either time to take it off the road and do a major overhaul of everything and double/triple check EVERYTHING...or just get rid of the damn car.

seriously.

This whole "bogging in 3rd gear" thing can be tons of things, most notably NOT the transmission, unless you have an auto tranny. hell it wouldnt even be the clutch, or pressure plate or flywheel.

You know why injectors cost a lot more when you buy them from the correct places ?(aka injector specialists or the dealer... NOT AUTOZONE) Because they're a very important part of your car and even a micrometer's worth of dirt can **** it up. its not a part you should be getting from autozone.

Check the secondary injector clips, make sure theyre fully plugged in. Replace the secondary injectors with proper ones, or have your current ones cleaned and flow tested at a PROPER FUEL INJECTION SHOP.. NOT AUTOZONE.

after that, come back to us if it didnt fix the problem. ALso try noting the RPMs when this bog happens, just generalizing 3rd gear as "bzzzzzzzzzz *3rd Gear* bddddddddd" is completely useless to anyone trying to diagnose a car over the internet.

oh and for gods sake, quit your "mechanic" job and find a new career, you obviously know nothing about cars. The only thing different about rotaries, really, is what goes on inside the motor and a few things outside such as the OMP etc. All the other systems work the same as a ******* piston car. the coils, ignitor, fuel pump, injectors, headlights, intake... bla bla bla. everything.

and one more note: i cant wait to see your posts when you try modifying this car.

ok here's the help:

1) FLowtest and Clean your Autozone injectors at a proper fuel injection shop, or buy new injectors from a place that specializes in injectors

2) Check your secondary injector wiring and clips make sure theyre not loose or messed up

3) Your bogging ISNT YOUR TRANS, nor your clutch, or flywheel or pressure plate.

4) Might try buying a brand new engine harness, especially since im sure you undoubtedly hacked your current one to death

5) Stop swapping **** until everything is back to running 100%, adding parts from an s5 is just going to complicate things

6) Buy new OMP lines, dont use siliconed ones, they will destroy your motor, seriously. Silicone isnt supposed to be used with oil, it deteriorates rapidly (but youre a mechanic you should know that, uh duh.)

7) Also try noting the RPMs when this bog happens, just generalizing 3rd gear as "bzzzzzzzzzz *3rd Gear* bddddddddd" is completely useless to anyone trying to diagnose a car over the internet.

and here are some possible alternatives to doing all of the above:

A) Throw everything under the hood out and start again from scratch, apparently you say you want to do this anyway

B) Give the car to a real mechanic to fix all your broken ****.

there, helpful enough for you? Oh and please hold off on modifying your car, i dont think the forum would be able to hold that many "whats wrong" topics.

seriously, im even doubting its the injectors since its one gear only, but i dont even think the ECU knows what gear the car is in. in fact im not sure how many things in the car even know what gear the car is in.

of course, unless its automatic that changes everything.

its got a switch for reverse, and 5th gear, but thats it. ecu has no speed input either, so it really doesnt know, 3rd gear
