Whats the difference between DOM and ERW steel? Look like im going to get their full bolt in cage.

Revvin, this is my opinion on the deal. Don't skimp on something that is going to help keep you alive! My cage is going to cost $850 and is being completely custom built for my FC. Honestly, I don't trust buying anything that is "bolt-in" as far as cages go...get one custom down that you know will work. Rob pretty summed up all the tech stuff so I'm not going to repeat it...besides I know a bunch of tech inspectors that will not let a car into the 10s w/ that "cage"....





BTW...I'm getting an 8pt It also helps to have a local guy who builds tube chassis and cages for a living only 40min away

It's how the tubing is manufactured.

DOM- drawn over mandrel

ERW - electrical resistance weld

I'm not clear on the finer points of each, but I don't think SCCA will certify ERW any more. Not sure about NHRA.

That boxed in part will colapse. And shouldnt there be a bar going across the rear bars too? I dont see much support in keeping bending to the side.
