Well, long time no post from my end. I still keep up with the forums and all but now I seem to have a dilemma. I spoke with Bryan at BNR and bought his stage 3 S5 upgrade which is completely freakin awesome. Mind you I have been running this setup for about 4-5 months now. However when I replaced the gaskets I still seem to have an exhaust leak coming from between the turbo and the manifold. I removed the manifold, manifold studs, and held a straight edge to the surface. Light shows through So now what? Well I priced a few stock replacement manifolds and so far I have only been able to find them going for around $300. wtf. Stock setup (as far as the location of the turbo, feed/return lines)

Does anyone have any suggestions? Do the ebay manifolds bolt on? is that a waste of money/time? Does someone have one for cheap like or at least reasonable asking price? Does someone want to make and sell me one ?

Any input welcome. thanks,

-B.

Pretty much just talking out of my *** here, but couldn't you take the manifold to a machine shop and have them grind the surface flat?

I could see if I could get it done at school. I didnt think about that. I may only need to be resurfaced a few thousands. It is warped enough however that you get the ever so annoying ticking coming from under the hood. I know this cannot be good and want it fixed asap so I guess next week I will bring it in to see what can be done.

s4 or s5?

they probably can be cut flat, you could even do it with a sander.

the reason i ask about the s4, is that ive seen em split in half before

S5. It looks like resurfacing is the way to go.
