Sounds like it'll ride on rails! Be sure to get some nice tires, and a good alignment.

Oh yeah! I knew I forgot something. Going to need some decent wheels & tires at some point. I'm a little embarrsed to ask but what do our cars bring stock 195/60/15?

thats easy.... the efini 4 has the following

205/50/16's on light 16x7 BBS wheels, you can run anything you want, but 225/50/15 or 16's work best, 17's are a little big, imo, although not bad

the efini has slightly stiffer shocks, same springs. we're recomending a smallish bump in spring rates, and stiffer shocks, not by a lot, cause our streets are bumpy

the efini has stiffer bushings, they are available thru mazdaspeed, or you can use poly or whatever.

efini is also a little lighter, 2750 vs 2800ish

so thats not a hard target to hit

I also noticed the hood is pretty heavy so I might switch to carbon fiber, loose the junk in the trunk (throw in a can of fix a flat and my AAA card). and replace the battery with an odessy light weight, and relocate it to the rear. I think that would knock off around 100lbs and keep my 50/50 distribution.

What do you guys think?

yep if you can find one, some of the hoods are aluminum.... my 91 went from 2860 to 2800 even with an al hood and apexi catback

depending on how hardcore you wanna get, theres a lot of little crap that comes out of the car too, like cruise control, the stock stereo stuff, etc etc

Ive been able to get mine down to the 2500 lb range.

TII hood, all the sound deadening and insulation removed, a/c removed, 91 na wheels, alum driveshaft, light single exhaust........... stuff adds up quick. You can add up 200 lbs of bc that you will never miss.
