Then I just cleaned the residue after the squish of sealant from tightening down. The leak behind the seat is a bastard, I dunno where it comes from, the tube from the pocket runs inside the plastics behind the seat, but runs into the grommet where the storage compartments are/would be. Isn't that sectioned off from the driver area with reinforced sheet goods and automotive joint sealant? I dont know how the hell the water gets there, school me if you develop any results.
Oh yeah, that plastic that is dum-dumed to the inside of the door. that would explain the moisture stain on the backing of the door panels. (bangs head on desk) I think the door drains would be the problem too in that the plastic sill moulding isnt sturdy and has no moisture prevention attached. The simple wind shear created from driving can easily push the water under the sill plate and down on to the floor. The wood-like backing on the floorboard, underneath the sill is moisture stained as well...My thought process hadnt got that far on the ressurection of the rag until I was reminded of the leakiness. Ill have to add another item to my "aw ****" list
You have to be one with the leak, only then can you conquer it. You are on the right path grasshopper. When you can grab this handfull of 10mm bolts from my hand.....then you are ready
