ok is there a difference involving fitting between the oil cooler or radiator..thanx i also noticed in my cuzzins turbo the he only has a filler neck for the radiator up above the thermostat. could i also use that as a way to fill mine if i get a radiator that doesnt have a filler directly on it???

I don't think you can run the turbo water pump housing on an n/a engine, the bolt patterns don't match up, someone can clear this up as I'm not 100 % positive. There is, however, a difference between s4 and s5 water pump housings and pumps, again, the bolt patterns vary.

ok, s5 has the wierd neck on the radiator with the radiator cap.
there are a bunch of different s4 setups.
early: no cap on the radiator, cap is on the thermostat neck, overflow is by the leading coil.
middle: still no cap on the radiator, over flow moved to in front of radiator.
late: pressure cap on the radiator, fill cap on the thermostat neck.
there is also a now rare bulliten setup where the pressure cap is on the over flow, the thermostat neck gets a filler cap and the water level sensor has the over flow tube in it.
it is possible to mix and match, so you can end up with no radiator caps, or 3 of them etc
the only difference between the water pumps is that the turbo has an extra water line for the turbo.
