Thumbs up

Since the RX-7 is gone, and I am bored outta my skull i figured I'd post something...

btw, the 2nd most respectable car (after the 7) was the Cavalier....the Escort was gutless, completely. Both Taurus had nice torque/power but felt disconnected from the road (rubbery steering) and a lot of torque steer, The Blazer comes in 3rd just cuz it's what i drive now, except it weighs way too much for the engine, it's pretty decent to drive...the 4wd will be nice when the snow comes, tho i never had any problems with the 7 in the snow......

GM 2.8's practically came out of the factory with a rod hanging out the side of the block. An '86 S10 extended cab 4x4 automatic is has to be one of the slowest vehicles on the planet. I know it's the slowest one I've ever driven.

Nonetheless, it is 4WD.

the GM 2.8, while it did vibrate like a bastid, ran for a long long time.

well mine seems to be doing a BIT better changed the plugs and oil and plug wires they don't look like they have EVER been changed, kinda scary, one plug is still stuck, it started making crunching noises when i was trying to get it out...VERY scary since it's my DD...Anyone know the bigger motor they put in the s-10 blazer from the factory? 4.sumthing?....when i get my taxes back i am either gonna overhaul the 2.8 or get whatever the bigger motor was and put that in.....

4.3 was the other V6. Pretty decent motor. Basically just a 350 with 2 cylinders cut off of it.

The Syclones had turbo 4.3's and a Bravada transfer case pretty much. The main caps were bit stronger than those in the N/A 4.3's.

mine has 173k miles and still running strong.

well not strong but running.

only thing that ever broke was the alternator at 160k.

These aren't choices to buy, but cars i drove after or during the 7's down period..the Escort is my Dad's the '95 Taurus my Mom's, the '88 Taurus my g-friend's, the Cavalier my g-friend's sister (and one of my best friends) and the Blazer is mine, i was just gonna write an article kinda post thingy, but i figured i'd see what u guys prefer for the hell of it, glad to see the cavalier on top, nice steering, decent power and torque for a big 4, (tho the whole time i drove it, it was open exhaust, the muffler and cat rotted off),

and believe it or not it sounded GOOD with no exhaust...scary indeed, didn't win any drag races in it, but it was fun to zip to here and there with it..
