As far as i know there is no bolt in V-mount kit for the FC. Im looking to start designing a V-mount inter cooler set up for the FC3S I want to mass produce so i am working in co-operation with an aluminum fabricator to help me build the parts I am going to invest in this project and im going to use my 86 as the guinea pig.

What I would like to know is what would you guys like to see???

Stock radiator supports so a stock or stock replacement radiator can be used(After Market Aluminum)

Size of Inter Cooler Core desired(Inlets, Outlets, core thickness)

Ducting

E-fan

I want to make this a complete bolt on thing mabey a little rework on radiator support or design a new radiator support. Only obstacle is that bar that conects the frames where the oil cooler is mounted.

You might want to start with an 87 TII so it's a kit for people with a TII, not an NA.

And I like your idea, but the market is just not big enough.

A thousand say they are interested, and four will actually make a purchase from you.

i think if i was doing that kinda of setup, it would look like ians...

id use a shorter radiator, stand it vertical, and then put the ic kinda in between the hood latch and the radiator, air filter goes in the middle...

i agree with you onthe market thing but I doubt that the car being N/a means it has diffrent bolt holes and dimensions than the TII

and i kinda like that idea on mounting with a shorter radiator but for ease of use i want to work around a stock radiator and play with the IC core size.

I have some mock ups pics next week

when i do sell it i am going to offer options like just the brackets w/ The ducting which would be the cheapest option. the Brackets, ducting and IC core and with the radiator im looking to run them about 250-350 for the brackets and ducting depending on material. I want to get the the aluminum to be as strong as neccesary but not to be super overkill thick to save on costs hence save on final price my welder is a family friend so that helps on cost. I am going to use my greddy FMIC as a guinea pig so initial setup will be based on a greddy core and a stock radiator but im am looking for a shop or place that makes custom ic cores.

Im not looking to make a killing on these either it is more of a promotional thing to get my custom parts thing going im probably going to make an estimated 5-10% off of them so any buisness owner knows that a buisness cant run with that margin.

I am caught up at work this week so progress is slow but some one has to cut up the cows right (Im A Meat Cutter LOL)

If it is affordable I would be interested. Its not a bad idea, but I was thinking about making a custom v-mount intercooler set-up for my FC. I don't want SMIC or FMIC. If I end up doing the custom setup I'll post some pictures up. This will not take place for another 4 or 5 months.
