**** man relax. That's mostly uncalled for. Apex was just making a comment, although I disagree with his statement.

I don't know for an fd throttle body. I am using the 3 rotor TB on my fd uim. I am going to use the n/a throttle cable. I was told that will work just fine.
I missed this post somehow!

I mocked up the FD manifold and TB to my car while the motor was still mounted in the engine bay, the stock N/A (on an S4) throttle cable was just a hare beyond unnacceptable (very stretched) to reach the puller on the FD Throttle body.

It wouldn't work for me.

I forgot just how long the TII throttle cable was, I don't know where I am going to tuck all that cable when all I need is maybe another 2-3" of length on the N/A one in comparison to almost 4 feet extra on the TII.

Some people use the FD cable, I use the TII cable but I also still use the radiator shroud so it mounts to that also, so that accounts for the extra length.

Mine could run up under the TB, no problem. Not all the way around the UIM..

Wow this was hard to follow, cause I never would have thought any of this possible.

I've got an S5 short-block but I had to use all the manifolds and wiring from the S4 motor that had come with me car. What can I do? Can I change out the upper AND lower intake manifolds to S5 or will that not work? I'm still using the stock TMIC btw.

Is this FD upper intake manifold/Throttle-Body mod possible for me?

What about when I plan to go FMIC? I agree that without a TMIC the stock UIM looks retarded. lol...

Don't do the mod unless you already have the front mount ready to rock. The TMIC will not clear the FD UIM, hence the reason for the ugly curved runners of the stock TII UIM.

I've been considering this mod for about 6 months and I've never found anything or anyone who has dyno results from the mod alone.
