Why you need the feed brand adapter - Mainly for the runners or else you get a vacuum leak (or boost leak, turbo boys).

I was told the S5 LIMs bolt up? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif Anyways heres an s5! for comparison.

Get the adapter or get creative.

I know it's a little lopsided I did it that way on purpose because I wasn't sure how well you could see the leak in the digital pictures.

But anyways when it's perfectly straight the holes are still there, or if not there is VERY LITTLE material preventing blow through.

Couldn't DR. Dremel make it work with some mild porting to the LIM.I take it you are going standalone colin?

Camel showed me his porting of his lim and it looked ultra close to breaking through. I dunno what I am going to do... Making and adpater would be really easy. Paying hundreds for it is stupid.

The bulk of the adapter could be drilled out of a piece of 1/2" or 3/4" aluminum plate on a drill press in less than an hour. Some cleaning and smoothing out with the dremel and tap it for the hardware and you're done. Not too hard at all. Hmm... I sense a profitable opportunity here. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Here is a photo of my FD UIM. JB Welded the "gap" and am going to make a thick paper gasket. using a S5 LIM, seems to line up better.

Myself I am not going with the Feed adapter. But alot of people thought it was to make it bolt up properly. It is, yes, but not in the way they were thinking. It's mainly to make the runners match up, not bolt holes.

My car won't have a stock ECU in the car.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I was thinking of JB welding a small portion of the gap between the upper intake manifold.

Mine was already mated to a TII LIM, and had alot of RTV to close any gap. I'll take a pic and you can see for yourself how thin the RTV is at that point (I scraped off the big gobs of it which I'm sure was preventing any leak, but when it comes down to it you see how much mating surface there was already).
