Remove the emissions if you can (no sniffer test).

Contrary to popular belief, I have had NO driveability issues with all of it GONE.

You will not necessarily gain any HP, but it cleans up the engine bay, and makes it insanely easy to do any maintenance.

The driveability issues depend greatly on your location/altitude/other mods, etc when you've removed the emissions. True, most times I've removed it - the car drives the same. Usually it idled slightly higher, but it also got worse gas mileage. In all honesty, for no gain and if you're not building a all out high HP car - it's pointless to remove the stuff. To me, having it there or not doesn't change maintenance at all - maybe a little longer, but that's it.

Also, should the time ever come to sell your car, a general enthusiast does not want to buy something that 1. Looks Raped; 2. might not pass inspection where they live.

Not bashing the idea, just some food for thought...

My 7 is a paradox. It gets better gas mileage than my friends GTUs with all emissions in place. He's lighter, and NA with all pollution controls, and mine is a GXL with a TII swap. Odd.

Well after 3 long weeks, I am getting the car back together time issues and wating on parts held me up a lot. Everything is going great as soon as one320b gets back here with my TB I can button her up and turn the Key. For a run down of what I have done, pretty much a big tune up.

*sent the injectors out to be cleaned

*port matched manifolds

*mild TB mod

*all new intake gaskets

*cleaned and installed 5th & 6th port sleevs

*silicon vaccum lines

*new spark plugs

I will post some pictures and what I spent, after I get her started up. Next week when I have some more cash I am going to replace fuel filter, O2 sensor and spark plug wires, check timing and do a compression test.

The vid is just us talking while cranking - I didnt take a vid when it fired up.

Here are some of the pics I have (the rest are just more of the same), but you probably have more and better ones, and now that it's done, that engine bay can get a good bath!

Well after all that crap I have bad compression! There might be a complete S5 intake setup for sale with cleaned injectors.. I am going to just put my S5 turbo motor back in it after a fresh rebuild
