I think that my car has already been dropped a little over an inch, but another inch would be nice. I'll just need to be on pothole alert. :p

WIth those 285/18's, youll need to be on quarter panel alert as well, remember those things are like $900 a panel, and book time is something like 16 hours A SIDE! The front fenders on the other hand are more expendible, lol

I don't have any rubbing anymore because I got the fenders rolled some more. You can get use quarters cheap and just weld everything together and grind the welds. It's MUCH cheaper and quicker.

I'm looking at my Summit catalog, it's got Intrax springs in it, and that will give you a 1 3/4" drop.
I cant even imagine such a drop on New York roads!

I can. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png[/quote]

I scrape like a mofo, and I have the stock springs, I've thought about lowering my car, but I think I'd rip off my exhaust.

Your stock springs are probably worn out.

< I would say so, I still have stock springs, and with 225/40/17 I dont scrape one bit. You sure its not your tires scraping your exaust? Got to be carefull with that ****, is your heat shielding still where its supposed to be next to the muffler? Check it if its getting banged up.

Yeah, the muffler heat shileds can rub the tires if they're bent a little.

The exhaust is scraping, right now I have the stock exhaust on, and I don't scrape. I had to bend the heat shield around the mufflers after I put on the duals. After I put it back on I will try and hang it a little higher, and see if that helps.

13BAce, did you use TII or NA springs to lower your car. I was told that because I have a vert (and they are much heavier than a NA coupe) to use TII springs. Just wanted to get your $.02. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I believe that stock TII and convertible springs are the same. I'm using Suspension Techniques springs on my convertible, and I don't have a problem with bottoming out. That's with Tokico Illuminas set on 5. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
