My 1990 TII has recently developed a whitsle at around 2800 rpm. The noise is coming from the passager side. Thought it may have been turbo related, but I still get full boost. Any thoughts.



Note: Whistle is high pitched.

Check at the turbo inlet, the duct will get brittle and crack and when it does it can cause a whistle when the turbo spools.

 

might want to tighten up the intercooler hoses, they can do the same. also a hole in the exhaust can whistle too
