I had some problems with my car actually turning over on ever 3rd key turn. So, some kind of relay was added by a shop that I think may have been only temporary, because now the car cranks super fast and the lights flicker at the same time. The cranks aren't even full cranks... just little spurts. Any way to test the ignition switch scientifically?

Bad ignition switch the car will just suddenly die no electrical or you have to turn it back and forth a few times.

I dunno what they did with a relay but clicking problems are normally bad terminal connections or bad solenoid on starter.

Ok, well I got it started with a jump today ...coolant buzzer came on, but I have plenty of coolant. Something tells me the ECU could be getting bad. Only other ECU I have is from an 88 TII, which has different impedence injectors

That thought is not finished... your supposed to follow with what actually does effect the coolant buzzer. Maybe the sensor on the bottom of the radiator?

Of course I am making the ECU assumption based on the other issues that have crept up but then dissappeared without reason.
