I'd check for codes.

What year is your new car? If it is above 89, you could be going into limp mode... kinda hard to tell from your description.

It'd probably be easier to learn how to fix your current (and easiest) form of rotary engine, then to spend loads of money on a whole new and more-complicated setup, when you aren't that familiar with the engine design to begin with. You may just have a loose electrical connection somewhere for all you know.

[quote name='TrboSpdAnt' date='Jun 17 2005, 12:29 PM']I'm in the same boat you in the "piston knowledge, migrating to rotary" scenario.

So we know that 3 key componants are need for ignition: Air; Fuel; Spark.

Go through and check your Air filter, spark-plugs, SP wires, In-line fuel filter, and fuel pump pickup.

ONE of these will be suspect.

Agreed! The first thing I did when I got my FC was switch Air filter, Spark Plugs (and wires) and fuel filter.

Just a quick question... is a 20B engine a 2.0L rotary?

My car is a 1990. So it may be a limp mode. Also I talked to a guy up at Discount Auto today and guess what? All he knows is rotary. He's raced one of them and has owned 3 total. He said I need to get rid of the clutch fan (Which I already knew) get a bigger fan for the radiator with a thermostat, replace the plugs and plug wires, and clean out the throttle body. He also said I have a vaccum leak somewhere... so.. it's a lot of work.
