$1500 would get you a nice custom unit, far better than something off the shelf...

1Revvin7: Including flywheel? I'm pretty sure the HKS unit doesn't include the flywheel thats why i've avoided that one, the OS and Exedy units come with a billet "explosion proof" or whatever flywheel so i've been looking into them. Of course you have to supply your own auto counterweight tho.

I'm not so much worried about the price, i'd rather pay and do it right then do it cheap and continue to pay for it down the line, ya know?

Rob: who is worldpac? cant browse the web right now, busy here, but im guessing worldpac.com...ill check it out later maybe give them a call see what they say.

One320B: if you're interested in the exedy unit gothamracing.com lists the twin for the FC's at $1500 that's the whole unit (flywheel and discs) but like i said before for all of them you do have to obtain an auto counterweight.

djgiantrobot: i don't mind noises, it isnt a daily. more of a racer that id like to take out for a fun weekend drive or travel to some shows around our area in. Good to hear nice things about OS tho, it seems with OS either people like it or hate it some complained that there was a lot of pedal effort.

From what ive read briefly people say the exedy is "easier" to drive but im not positive on how long it'll stay "race-ready" for if you know what i mean. The OS i've read is moderately more pedal effort but supposively very strong and streetable as well.

If worst comes to worst i'll buy it through gotham if its in stock.

Excedy or cusco, same thing, are good. I ve got one in my fd works perfect easy to drive , only down side its heavy . But the weight is close to the middle. And is way smoother than hks or os twin plates ( have friends that use them and they shudder hard when they got to hill start and the hks one has stuck a few times after burn outs) .

I thought the HKS came w/ the flywheel... hrm.

I've got an Centerforce Dual Friction unit now that I'll be selling in lieu of a twin disc setup. The centerforce only has 200 miles on it, but i dont think it will take the abuse of a t78...

my centerforce couldnt handle a t04e, and there are a lot of documented problems with those clutches.. i.e. the face falls off.

Lol, great... I just put mine up for sale in the for sale section, now nobody will want it,lol...

To defend the clutch though, we had one in a friend of mine's '94 Cobra w/ 300ftlbs or torque and it lasted a while.. and this past weekend we just put another one in an '93 Cobra... we shall see how well it holds up.

They are good clutches for a mildly modified T2 (running stock turbo) or under 300whp...

yea i dunno if it was a temporary bad production run or something but when my centerforce fell apart a couple guys on the forum told of similar experiences. havent heard much about it since, and it seems popular with most cars.

i loved my 6 puck tho.
