i have a turbo II 1987 FC3S, when i first bought the car it was boosting perfectly at 17 psi, the car has, T04 turbo, haltech, exhaust, 720, 850 injectors, streetported, j-spec motor, etc. but not its at 10 sometimes, or 14.5 max. Now, if i go through and it still does the same thing, does that mean i really didnt' find the leak, or could there be some other sort of problem other than just hoses??

any help would be great this has been a real annoyance for a too long

one more question, what is normal idle vacuum for you guys? i'm at 10 in Hg

Have you checked all your lines, clamps, hoses, and boost controller to see if they are leaking, or misadjusted? Do you have an exhaust leak? When was the last time you changed your fuel filter and plugs? Is your air filter clogged? these are all things that will reduce your boost. The air filter being the primary thing to check, although you may not be able to see the dirt, the particles may be clogging it.

On the drivers side of the engine compartment, below the brake booster on the firewall.
