Is there any other turbo exhaust mainfolds other than the hks cast iron one? I'm looking for a stainless steel one for an 88 tII. Any help like a web site would be nice.

I could be wrong, but doens't HKS also make a SS manifold too? Some guy in the single turbo disc. makes manifolds too. mattsb or something. There should be a thread there with pics of one of his manis.

 

no the stainless manifold is only for the 3rd gen rx7 not for the 2nd.

 

For what style footprint?? XS makes a divided cast iron to4 manifold.

 

No one offers a stainless steel tube turbo exhaust manifold with the exception of HKS...and that bitch is only for their T51R Kai turbo!



There might be small shops that make low quantity runs if you fork out enough dough.



Else, FD units can be adapted for the FC if you space it out a little.

i've heard ss isn't good to use on a turbo manifold. I've had 2 shops tell me it won't last, especially on a rotary.



I'm not sure, thats just what I've heard so correct me if I'm wrong

 

I made mine from the piping from Racing Beat. It s 1/8 inch thick steel. It is great. I was worried about the strength of it because, hell, our cars can make cast iron glow, so what would it do to steel. It does great. The manifold and turbo together weigh less than the stock manifold and turbo also which also was scary because our stock turbos are so tiny.



You dont want to spend the money on SS because the heat from rotaries will make it yellow instantly. You could spend hundreds on it and it will be yellowed i no time. Youd be better off making your own or buying one and then ceramic coat it or something along that line.
