my best guess is that the mechanic set the idle higher and was letting you know he did so not telling you that the port will make the idle higher. if you do not believe people when they tell you the idle will not change with a port then you should email pinapple and ske them if it will they are very knoledgable as far as ports go. No as to why you would want your idle that high it is beyond me.i usualy find a 1k idlle to be high and a 750 low. I keep mine around 800 usualy.

My idle is kind of funky. lol. Slowing down for a light, it goes to 1,500 then sinks to 1,000 or 9,000. When I first start the car it idles horrible until it warms up and/or I start moving.



My friend with a T2 Convertable said he heard holding the gas down to about 2,000 RPM for 20 seconds when you first start the car will stabalize the idle...I dunno. I've only put 40 miles on my new FC, so I don't know yet from driving experience what's good, what's bad...

****it idles at 900-1,000... earlier it idled at like 750 which was nice.
