Yes i tried searching, and couldn't find anything. My turbo needs a rebuild soon, and decided it would be better to get a new turbo. I was thinking of a BNR upgrade, but ppl say that it spools up slowly, and i drift a lot. I have sufficient funds for a nice sized turbo, waste gate. I want to make at least 300-350 rwhp. any help is greatly appreciated. (my car 88 tii, 2.5" xhaust, Haltech e6k, 720 secondaries, walbro fuel pump)

And that turbo will make how much hp @ what boost? is it good for high revving? My engine redlines at 9k

GT35/40...on an FD it can make 400whp stock ports at 15psi. It's dual BB also..peak PSI(usually set @ 16-17psi) is usually seen by 3K on a ported 13B...

That doesn't mix with a drift turbo. The hotside will decitate how well it does on the high end and how fast it spools. You are on stock ports corrrect? With a .84 it will start choking up top, but ofcourse should spool very fast. Check the single turbo section, there is a link pinned at the top with varing dyno plots.

I forgot to mention that is does have a big street port. She idles at 1200rpm. that is kinda why she has a high redline. I am kinda ignorant when it comes to turbochargers and such, because I have drifted an ae86 for a couple years. thanks for the help

Well with a drift turbo you want the least amount of lag possible. If you have a turbo that spools very fast its going to choke on the high end. You're high idle is not caused from the streetport, you have other problems or things that need to be adjusted. Your port is not limiting how low you can set your idle. So you set your redline to 9k? You can adjust your redline with the e6k.

You need to stop the weird responses and figure out what you want to say.

Sorry reted u must have the wrong thread. anyways, all the people who I have talked to who has a street port say their idle was higher than stock. even the mechanic who ported it said it would idle higher than normal. I dont think nothing is wrong, or needs to be adjusted, it was professionally installed and tuned. I did not set my redline to any specific rpm. It makes its most hp (240) at 9k. I'm sure the redlines change with different turbos. thx for ur help i already know what turbo i will get. (60-1)

I would be weary of any mechanic that tells you the engine will idle high from a street port. I ported the engine in my Fd and I guarentee you that my ports are larger than most. I have no problem setting my idle down to 700 and stay running. You shoud take our advice as that and get your head out of your ass. Your idle CAN be adjusted lower than you have it. That doesnt mean something is wrong with your engine it only means that your engine could be set up better.
