yea the shifter/trans area is always toasty.
best bet is to make some better heat shields, exhaust wrap is so-so solution.
chances are your rubber boot around the shifter is ripped too (under the plastic and leather surround) believe it or not that helps block a decent amount of heat, without that its like a portal to a furnace.

yep. mine were shot, replace them, and it was a big difference.

yea im too cheap to buy the new shifter surround boot things lol, i just deal with the heat
