i was gunna buy this 1987 TII form this guy for REAL cheap... but he said as he wa spulling into his driveway he pulled it outta 2nd and went to put it into first and didnt go and he heard a *CLUNK CLUNK*.... anybody know what that could be.. some ppl say it might be the 1st gear synchro.. any body have any ideas?

 

He might have totally lost 1st gear and just not the syncros either.You might need to look at a good used tranny for it if you decide to buy it.

 

bent shift fork? Broken diff mount?

 

doesnt sound good any which way. But how cheap are we talking?
