The only American models that had it were the 10th Anniversary's I believe. I thought that was the only model.

A little off topic here but yeah that's not a problem the way you have done it.

On the subject of cooling off yer intercooler, I just read an interesting article on auotspeed.com which makes alot of sense.

Intercoolers are designed to chill the air inside it as quickly as possible--unfortunately, that works in reverse too. That means that when you're sitting at a red light in the summer, your intercooler is acting like a heat magnet. It's even worse for those of us that have top-mount IC's because heat(off the engine) rises and the intercooler soaks it all in.

I would assume that means if your intercooler is heat-soaked from sitting at a light on a hot day and you immediately boost, your engine'll be alot closer to detonating than normal. I guess a coupla squirts of water would help alot.

The artical it says that a simple sprayer from a boost activated from a boost switch doesn't work.

This intelligent sprayer is really cool.

I have a home built sprayer on my IC using Home Depot parts and washerfluid bottle for some time now, and it does make a difference, I have tested it via monitoring my Haltech data page. Also I wired my haltech to the exhaust overheat light such that it comes on at 160 and off at 140 intake temps... autox'n I've gotten the light to come on towards the end of a run... I get the car in the pits as normal, then start pulsing the sprayer and the light goes off in 20-30seconds... doing the same routine without the sprayer is more like a couple minutes...

OK I really want to build one of these, the only problem is, will it corrode over time or make the IC crack with high temp then sprayed with water. Plz Help.

It shouldn't. It's not THAT cold besides, you think the air thats being force fed isn't cold sometimes? Also unless youre using dirty water you shouldnt really have to wory about corrosion or the water in your area sucks.
