LOL...hang in there man...if you have a street port and the eclipse pulled on you it must have been turbo...either that or your car isn't running properly...

My neighboer had an all stock 98 GSX and it would blow the doors off my n/a...But this girl I knew had a non-turbo 98 Eclipse OZ edition...WOW did it SUCK! lol. My measly n/a would pull on it

Do you have any other FC's in the area to compare your car to?

You can dump tons of money into a NA, and it'll still be pretty slow (ask me how I know ). Granted "NAWS" will help you gain some hp, but turbos are SO much more fun.

And remember...

"Ametures don't use nitrous oxide! I've seen the way you drive, you have a heavy foot. You'll blow yourself to pieces!"

Yes, too bad we have both had to learn that lesson

Use water injection with NOS. Increase engine reliability. You can get a whole kit for 200 bucks too.

aquamist makes a water injection kit, I plan on running that this summer. I don't know why you would use it w/ nitrous tho, I mean nitrous will cool the air intake mix greater than water injection. Water injection is usually used on turbocharged engines to cool the intake charge, to prevent detonation, n/a(s) don't have that problem...

I can't belielve you lost to an elclipse even a turbo model, it must have been built or your car is slow, my '79 with a stock '86 engine outran a slightly modified awd eclipse with turbo; he got me off the line but once we got moving I caught and passed him.

odd...

NA 2nd gens are slow but I'm curious what a good set up with tuning like Pengaru's or Kahren's would run in the quarter... maybe with some miata gears and GTUs ring and pinion.
