Too Much Premix?

I pulled my leading plugs out today and they were black. I wasn't sure if this was from the premix or from just running rich. I'm running about an ounce per gallon.
The reason why I ask is cause I have the same problem in my 86' GXL. However, rotor 2's leading plug is fouled way more then rotor 1. I do not premix and without breaking the engine down right now as best I can tell I have a problem with my oil control seals mainly in rotor 2. It affects the leading more because they are lower than the trailing...
If you were just running rich your fouling will be more uniform and consistent. Hopefully it's nothing too bad.

running too cold of a plug and too rich premixing will foul plugs in a heart beat. It depends on the premix as well
if one leading plug is worn more than the other, it's probably a culprit of the single coil, dual post ignition system that they use. a black plug could mean a rich mixture or too much premix. You should be able to tell from your exhaust as well. If you get a constant smoke out the exhaust on idle it's probably too much premixing, except for racing conditions.
