Need Info Quick On Idling
#4
no it should still idle normal with those mods. Only thing that really affects idle is porting
I dont think my point was understood.
I was meaning that it should only have to idle that high if its a ported motor. Meaning if its not a ported motor and wont idle lower it has another problem.

there are many things that effect idle, i know on my car i tried tons of stuff tps settnig, bac valve cleaning, idle adjustment on bac, vac leak check etc etc.
i fnially was able to adjust it using the idle stop screw but that was more like a temp fix, i finally got it to idle smoothly at 750-800rpm when i removed the UIM and TB, clean the UIM->LIM mating surface and made sure all connections were tight and where they needed to be. now i finally have my stock idle speed back...altho i still need to **** with the tps.
