Need Info Quick On Idling

wats normal idle speed for a 88 na....wats the normal or most common speed atleast

jeeze...im at like 1400...i only have one cat and a header and catback ...could that effect the idle speed

no it should still idle normal with those mods. Only thing that really affects idle is porting



I dont think my point was understood.

I was meaning that it should only have to idle that high if its a ported motor. Meaning if its not a ported motor and wont idle lower it has another problem.

there are many things that effect idle, i know on my car i tried tons of stuff tps settnig, bac valve cleaning, idle adjustment on bac, vac leak check etc etc.



i fnially was able to adjust it using the idle stop screw but that was more like a temp fix, i finally got it to idle smoothly at 750-800rpm when i removed the UIM and TB, clean the UIM->LIM mating surface and made sure all connections were tight and where they needed to be. now i finally have my stock idle speed back...altho i still need to **** with the tps.

ok. where is the thermowax. and just to make sure is the tps the throttle position sensor and wat is it just to make sure

to get my idel perfect again I had to dissconnect my Preassure sensor.
