I ran azeni's for over a year on my car. I rode on them until I started to see cords and the tire looked like a slick. For 99 percent of the life they did just fine in rain.

Or the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW ?
I have a set of 225/40/18 g-Force T/A KDW on my FC, and they seem to grip well, although I'm still in the break-in period on my engine so I haven't gone out and ran the hell out of them yet. The tread pattern seemed a little sparse so I had them siped, they have sort of an off-road style tread...

you must have had the directional tread azenis's. we are talking about the sports. they do suchk in the rain, dunno about snow, I live in south mississippi. I still loved em, went through 2 sets, wouldn't get anything else.

for my 205/50/15's they were 78 each before mounting. I don't remember after.

I had them on stock vert 15x 6.5 rims. sticky as hell, and didn't wear TOO fast, but they don't last forever. I think I got 25k out of the first set, but that was going easo on them, second set 15k, with some wet weather drifting.

Negative, I had the azeni sports. I probably got about 25k miles out of them before the cords started to show. They aren't a super rain tire, but under normal driving they'll do just fine. It's irritating when people act like driving in the rain with the azeni's is like trying to drive on m/t slicks when the roads are wet.

Drive my potenzas in the rain and then drive azenis in the rain back to back. Trust me, you wont say the azenis are good in the rain. They may be drivable, but they doesnt mean good.

How much are you lookign to spend? I have Bridgestone Potenza RE750's, 225 50 16 on S5 turbo wheels, and they are amazing. Final cost after mounting and balancing, and the cost of tires and shipping from tirerack came to just under $600. If youre on more of a budget, the ES100's are very good for the price. I had Dunlop Sport SP8000's before, and they were good tires, but not as grippy as the potenzas. Id like to drive on the new Dunlop FM901's, theyre supposed to be pretty good. And Azenis are sticky and cheap, but they have limited sizes.
The re730s, which are close to the 750s are great to.

The 750's were the replacement for the 730's I believe.

I would like to know what the guys with 350+rwhp drive around on. Driving around on drags/slicks has got to suck. Having no traction through the 1/2nd gear has got to suck also...

Without question, the potenza's are much better in the rain. The azeni's can be driven in the rain however, and assuming the driver has a certain amount of self control you won't be flying off the road.

Most of my friends drive foxbodies/ls1's and quite a few drive around with bfg or nitto drag radials all the time. Yes, it's a pain in the *** under typhoon storm like conditions, but it's worth the trade off to have traction for when it's not raining.

um. driving around on drag radials is pointless. it accomplishes nothing except a dent in the wallet and showing off. a set of nice wide traction oriented tires would be much better for the street.
