I remember my 86's tail lights did the same thing. I i couldnt stop it from crazing. My S5 tail lights are the original ones, and they still look new. I clay bar the plastic to remove the impurties, and then use Macguires plastic polish.

 

Hrm, I should look into doing that for now on to my taillights as soon as the rebuild is finished.
