OK, I have probably fed up everyone on here with my stupid q's all the time about the carbs and T2 stuff, well there is always room for an encore.. This weekend I finally took my rebuilt engine to where my truck is at.. I mounted the tranny and am going to mount the engine next week..

I was looking around at all the stuff I got with my engine, and i have the Upper intake Manifold, Lower intake Manifold, Exhaust man and turbo, Water pump, intercooler(stock).. So I was wondering, how much more crap would I need to get to get this engine going with the fuel injection instead of the Carb.. I need injectors, fuel rails, fuel pump, wiring harness ECU, and other crap like that, but how well would a stock ECU work without all that extra emissions crap, and Vacuum lines, and sensors hooked up..?

I need to get the truck running....

stock ecu works just fine w/o emmissions and their assosicated vacuum lines not hookup( ofcouse as long as they are blocked off). But it needs the sensor hookup to run right, Im sure it wil run without them but very rough,it has to have the right vacuum lines hooup to run at all though.

Damn, That sux.. I don't want to mess with all that extra isht.. How bout if I were to run a Haltech on the stock motor, can I get a Map, so That I would not have to get it tuned right away.. Or is it easy to tune, then I could just get the fuel pump and injectors and stuff and wait an extra month to get the Haltech.. This would avoid me from having to get all that vacuum bull crap and unnecessary sensors..

You can strip almost everything on the motor with the stock ecu, except the MAF, pressure sensor, knock sensor, air intake temp senor, coolant temp sensor. You can get rid of all the emissions **** and their associated vacuum lines. You can get a map from hitman or someone of the net to get it running right away. From what i have heard its easy to tune a haltech.

OK I got more q's.. Supposing I go with th Haltech I will need to get the injectors for my truck, and I don't have the Funds to get new ones yet, and T2's are super hard to find at the wrecking yard, so can I get the fuel rail from a N/A 7, and what about the injectors, is there another car that I can get those from?
