hmm... did the mod from s4 to s5... doesnt want to idle right. it will die if i let off gas and when i start to go it sounds like it only runs on one rotor... but after like 2 minutes with my foot on the gas it will idle decently

this sounds like an idle issue. When you hold your foot on the accelerator to keep the motor running, what rpm are you at? if your around 750 then you need to set TPS and idle.

Cool, thanks, a n/a afm wouldn't work on a TII eh?

it will, but the calibration is a little different, so it may run wierd

CrassFC3S 12-07-2005 02:13 AM

how similar is the 626et afm to the s5 afm? i dont like the huge ugly s4 box

same thing but its larger

Is it the same electronically?

I mean, would it be a direct swap for s5 owners to test the "the afm is too small to make good power" debate I see so often on the other board?

I ask because my brother drives a 96 MX-6 so I could possibly do a back-to-back dyno if they are directly swappable.

yes, the 626/probe-mx6 afm is bigger and plugs right in and works fine, its been done!

CrassFC3S 12-08-2005 12:43 AM

so the wiring would have to be altered for a s4 correct j9? if it is a direct swap with the s5
