I don't really have alot of money invested in but alot of time to keep it in good shape for 12 years now. But you say better in the long run, you mean that a supercharger is less reliable than a turbo? About the price, what should I expect to pay for a good kit if I do it by myself?
i mean your gonna spend like $5000 to make the supercharger work..... you will never get that money back out of the car
I like turbos.
my turbo is shot on the TII. i'm working on getting a turbo kit for it. T04E HERE I COME. i refuse to put another stock turbo on the car. this will be turbo # 3 in 5000 miles !!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I know what you mean. But on the hand, I don't know anybody who has made money out of a street car. I think the earning is to enjoy the fun we get from the result, don't you think?...

I really appreciate your comments, guys. That's why I posted on the subject. The big advantage of the supercharger is I think the quicker response at low rpm and the main drawback would be the complexity to find infos to get it work and fine tuning.

The supercharger kit is about $3500.
What kit were you talking about here? Is the Paxton kit or something like that? Because I believe the Paxton's kit is not available anymore, is this true?

Yeah, the Nelson/Paxton setup. I don't know if it is still available. superchargedrex was supposed to be putting together a kit for about $2K.

Try e-mailing him. He's been working on it for quite a while. So he should have something by now.
