Anybody has any experience with superchargers (blowers). I've heard that on a NA, we could get a good result with a streetable blower and not too many mods except for the fuel and exhaust systems.

I'm actually looking for good infos on the subject and see if what I've heard is true. What are the pros and cons, turbocharger or supercharger?

I seem to remember someone on here that has done it. Atkins rotary sells a kit for the 12A's and I was looking into a Paxton staged system but that'll be a long long time from now.

Pros would be low end boost, a more controlled boost (in some cases) and a more consistant power curve.

Cons are complexity (Mounting, belts...) , who's done it and fuel delivery.

On the Travis Shrey's web site, they show how to install the Paxton/Nelson kit but they don't give us any feedbacks on the result. I've also read about some good and bad experiences on this kit. I think it's not available anymore.

unless you have alot of money invested in your N/A i would suggest buying a TII it will be cheaper and better in the long run https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I don't really have alot of money invested in but alot of time to keep it in good shape for 12 years now. But you say better in the long run, you mean that a supercharger is less reliable than a turbo? About the price, what should I expect to pay for a good kit if I do it by myself?

The supercharger kit is about $3500.

i mean your gonna spend like $5000 to make the supercharger work..... you will never get that money back out of the car :(

Well, from what I heard, since those kits are no longer manufactured for the 2nd gen...you wont have much in the means of tech support unless you talk w/ those who have it, and that number is small. Your better off just going w/ a turbo kit(custom built). I'm a strong believer that a turbo kit can be made for the NA as long as you run low boost....I've seen/heard/read about at least 4 people who have done it, and even considered it myself before going w/ a jspec swap...

I've heard of some people running 20+ PSI on turbo motors with NA rotors. They've had good results.
