well I cleaned the track and it does open up alittle more but for some reason it seems like the motor runs out and stops.. I tryed to force it but nothin'... the damn motor just seems like it stops!!!!!!! WTF.... is disasembly relatively simple... damn hayes doesnt even metion it....
Sounds like the motor is catching on something.Make sure the tracks are clean then look at testing the motor. You might have to get a motor for it from a wrecker.

BTW:The haynes manual doubles a good paper wieght on most thing like this.I should know.I have one for the FC engine I have and the FB I have.

after seeing what the entire assembly looked like out of the car, it didn't look to be that difficult

I think you have to remove the headliner to access some bolts, and there are some along the outside of the tracks

someone let me know if I'm wrong

i was playing around with mine b/c it gets stuck right when it starts to slide backwards and forwards. I used some brake cleaner and then followed with some silicone spray and... IT WORK PERFECT!!!

But then like an hour later it was back to the way it was. So I think I'm gonna take it out this weekend adn clean it out spic and span. At least I know it'll work.
