well from what my good friend i grew up with told me the other day when i barrowed a tow rope is that his oil pressure suddenly went to rock bottom while driving from work and car stalled and died hasnt been able to cut back on since.

he isnt the smartest guy to let work on his own car but at the moment i'm working on my car trying to finish it up before all the rain hits.

what will cause this to happen?

what will he have to buy / replace?

his main question was will he have to buy a new engine or get this one rebuilt.

any information for be great to hand over to him help get another rex driver back on the road.

his is a rx7 1988 model aswell only things he has done was the 90 model rear light sawp custom audio + new ac head unit, but few weeks ago someone broke into his car stole the new ac unit + audio setup.

engine has a little over 120,000 miles he said, but saying that my engine has never had a rebuild and when the speedo cable was working 3 yrs ago it ended at 235,117 are ready saving money for a rebuild i know it will happen one day more than likely withen next yr

First thing to do is verify it with a mechanical gauge, there is a good chance the gauge or the sender are bad.

Hmmm, did you to see he had oil in the pan? Many ignorant folks driving rotary powered engines don't know the vehicles burn oil.
