Strange Clutch Problem
#11
hydrolic hoses can fail internally, there would be no leak with a
hose failure.
Nobody ever had a hydrolic hose go bad? Either brake or clutch?
I remember the first time I had a rubber brake line fail, caliper
locked up, ate the pads, rotor, heated the bearing, etc..
Same can happen to a rubber clutch line.
And the funny thing about it is it can work, then fail, and work
again when its not heated and swelled.
Not saying this is the case here, but one never knows.

I've seen 3 of the rubber hoses on the clutch system fail so far. All of them poped and puked brake fluid everywhere. I have seen brake hoses that failed and made a big bubble in the side as well, but didn't leak right away like your describing. K2RD http://www.k2rd.com/products/stainlesslines.html sells a teflon/SS clutch hose for $28. I have one on my car and have put a few more on other cars. It a good investment and clutch feel is much much better.
