aiight I have just dropped my J-spec 13b turbo II engine into my NA chassy, the only thing that isnt hooked up is my exhaust, I have it running right out of the turbo for now, Now when I turn the engine over it tries real hard to start at first, nearly picking up, but it starts to mist fuel out of the backside of the turbo I think it floods.....not real sure? n e one have n e ideas?

for starters put a down pipe on the motor for cryin out loud so ya have a place for your o2 sensor. then maybe start to tune the thing.

never rush a job man damn!

tonite was my last nite on the 14 start up gaurantee so it had to be started, and it did start, but it wouldnt stay running. It acted as though it had a vacuum leak, it would only run if i gave it a lil gas, however now that I know it will run, I need to ask some questions so as I can get it to actually run.

1. is there any difference in between the NA Mass air flow sensor and the Turbo II's?

2. Is there any difference in between the NA pressure sensor and the Turbo II's?

3. Does anyone know of a decent vacuum diagram for a J-spec 13bt?

4. Is there any difference in the NA's ignition coils and the turbo II's?

any advice or answers will be greatly appreciated.

The MAFS are different

the Pressure Sensor on the TII is a BOOST sensor

Most people don't run more then 3 vac lines on the jspecs. Thats my way of saying no.

There Might be a difference I think it's only the ignitors.

The car will start and run with out a O2 sensor.

Try starting it up and give it some gas till it's warmed up, see if it will idle after. Oh and yeah put a down pipe on it

1. yes, it should run with the na sensor, but maybe not well

2. yes, the na uses a 1 bar map/boost/pressure sensor, the t2 uses a 2 bar sensor

3. its the same as the us spec, only differences are lack of aws and a couple of electrisical things on the acv

4. nope same stuff

very cool, well in that case I have a boost gauge (thank goodness I saved it from the rolling truck) and lets see, and u say the vacuum lines are the same as US spec? very cool, and give it a lil gas till it warms up. aiight, sounds like a plan, o btw, the plug that i have going into the pressure sensor, do I unhook it, or what do I do since I only have a aftermarket boost gauge

Let me get a lil more into detail. The pressure sensor hooks up into the wiring harness, but it needs to b a boost sensor? will that hook up in the same way, or do i need it (i would assume I do considering the computer needs to know how much boost its making) I have a aftermarket boost gauge that reads both vacuum and boost. What would be the best way to hook that up (its mechanical). Would anyone happen to have a boost sensor lying around that they would sell me, and/or a turboII maf? Oh, should I change all the hoses out to silicone?

the boost/pressure sensors just plug right in, they interchange.

dont change all the hoses out, that always causes more problems
