Never thought about that way.
Well looks like the long block needs 2 new rotors and 2 new rotors housings. I'm going with a reman for now and keeping the spare parts for another project.

too bad you werent in nj ive got like 3 fully disassembled blocks that could build 2 good engines just laying around in my garage, need some money for bills, woulda let it go cheap...hell i even have 3mm rotors with a full rebuild kit and 3mm seals....all of this just lying around the house. damn i need to stop being lazy.

My friend that did his 3rd gen swap left his old engine in the garage and has given me the OK to take apart and see if the rotors are good. I'll be taking this engine apart, early tomorrow.

The only way to find out if anything is still usable is to take it apart and spec everything out. I would deff do a T2 swap in the vert. Lots of people say just with a stock T2 block that there verts are much more fun. Good luck with the build and take your time!
