I've been busy with work, moving, and just general b.s... but slowly progress has been made on my car and I actually drove it around the block the other day just for kicks, it doesnt feel like the same car at all. Anyways, heres a link for all the pics:

pics of current state

The first two pics are what used to be the black magic fan shroud, I'm modifying it so it covers the entire radiator, and adding a flange to both sides for mounting it to the matching flanges on the radiator using simple bolts instead of the big heavy mounting kit they provide. Also changed out will be the steel bars the motor mounts to, replaced with aluminum tubing... I'm trying to save weight here, not put it back with aftermarket parts that weigh too much.

The next two pics are the interior, all the wiring has been opened up and unused stuff has been largely removed, but this is still in progress so there are still some things to be eliminated near the fuse block / steering column area. Also visible is the grant steering wheel I found for $50 locally that is small and light, mazdatrix short throw shifter, odyssey pc680 battery on the torque tunnel, e6k on the floor in the passenger side, laptop... I have to still remove the original carpeting, tar on firewall, and original seats (still looking for reasonably priced lightweight seats). There will be a dash in the car eventually, which I'm going to make from fiberglass or carbon fiber, I have to find the LCD panel I want to use for gauges before I start making the plug for a dash though.

Last two pics are EGT probes, picked up for something like $45 each from aircraftspruce.com, these will be incorporated into the LCD gauges I am making for the car.

We're finally moved so after everything gets out of the garage and into the apartment I can start moving tools and cars to the new place, then I hope to speed up the progress quite a bit, and our new apartment has bandwidth so I might setup a webcam in the garage which should be interesting.

enjoy the pics, more to come soon, maybe some movies

I believe hes running sensors/haltech into a PC onboard the car and using the PC to run the gauges.
