Ok, a good friend of mine has an 88 non-turbo (GL? not sure) It's in pretty decent shape, he had the motor rebuilt and its got aboutr 65 thousand miles on it right now. It doesn't run, but one of my other friends who is an rx-7 guru says that its just leaky fuel injectors. He is going to bring some over and try swapping them out to get the car to run. I originally wanted one that i could slap a turbo on, or a turbo 2, but you guys said i should just buy the turbo 2. well im broke as a joke! so i decided against buying one for now, but finally this guy wants to sell his, so..... Is it possible to turbocharge the car? can i just take the exhaust manifold, turbo, etc from a turbo 2 and bolt it up? would my rx-7 guru friend be able to do it? (he claims it can easily be done) the rx-7 has had A LOT of work done to it, and a lot of things fixed, but now all of the sudden its not running and when it is it smells like gasoline, so we think the engine is flooded. theres a big dent on one of hte sides, but other than that it looks pretty decent (its blue). what do you guys think?

peace

you would have to do all new, custom plumbing for the intake, and all that, but, they are great cars even in slow form, it is fun to drive around when it is wet, get in front of a riced civic, hit second gear, and kick your back end into his lane, or to take a 15 mph turn at 45, sliding the whole way but yes, for that little money, and the mileage, get the car, assuming that is the only thing wrong, one problem with the cars, it seems like one thing will go wrong, and then it snowballs if you don't take care of the issue.
