i just want to know whats a good brand for a short shifter for a s4 FC

I got one from mazdatrix.com. It's not cheap, but I haven't had any complaints with it. I may actually sell mine soon, my car is dead.

Doesn't that one have 2 heights, user-selectable? I always thought that was pretty cool.



bboyclo, you may also want to look at trying a miata shifter. Depending on availability, you could possibly get one cheaper and I've heard nothing but good things about it being used in a 7.

Nope, unless by "user-selectable" you mean switching between the stock shifter and the short throw.

i just took mine out. sawed right below the shift *** point. and right above the ball and welded them back together...





works pretty nice to me....

ive had mine for 3 years, and no problems. it just takes time to get used to the shift throw
