Just outta curiosity, why does the Mazdatrix one rattle? Do they all rattle?

If you were asking a valind question I apologize there was a lot of F&F bullshit if I nixed your by accident I am sorry.



I have one and love it. I even am willing to live with the rattle noise for the feel of the sharp precise shifts.



I was missing my 2-3 shift a lot before the new Mazdatrix shifter was installed it now that isn't a problem anymore.

doesnt that drop the action from like 6" to 3"? and is this rattle obvious, say from outside the car?

Yes it shortens the throw to 3.5" from 6".



I have 2 trannys for my TII. My original one (out of the car awaiting rebuild) didn't rattle. My backup one rattles.



So I can safely say Mazdatrix is wrong. Its not car specific its Tranny specific.



How loud? Pretty loud. It can be heard over the exhaust.

how about this...say i do the short shift conv...and my tranny makes the sound...is it possible to go back to the stock shifter, or am I stuck with the noise regardless?
