Well, I thought that it might be possible that one or more seals was shrunk, allowing blow-by until enough oil/heat existed for them to swell enough. I'll try to make sure to document what I learn, good or bad.

Update, since I said I would and there have been a few others lately that have has similar symptoms.



I finally got to work on the car.

Pulled the plugs, they all looked pretty clean. Power across all 4 plug wires. Cleaned plug ends, ran the engine poorly for 15 minutes (forcing an idle), then pulled plugs again. No gas smell on front plugs, obvious gas smell on rear plugs.



Pulled the entire intake and both fuel rails off. Pulled all 4 injectors, all had a resistance between 13.4 and 13.6 ohms. Ran battery power to them, all four clicked and puked drops of gas, but the front primary clicked fainter and didn't throw the drop of gas as far. Checked power at all 4 plugs, there was power sort of a ground (ingition to "on", no EFI fuse, one side of connector showed 12V, other side showed 12V dropping to 0V over 15 seconds or so).



Replaced everything, but put the original primaries into the secondary spots, and vice versa. Also put the 6-port sleeves back in (I soaked the holes in cleaner, then soaked the sleeves in cleaner, then put the wet mess into the block overnight to really get in there). Sealed everything up and cranked it.



Problem solved.



So, either I have a weak injector, and now since it's a secondary, it'll be less noticeable, or I had a bad connection (all 4 injector wire plugs are cracked, and none "lock" anymore...
