Thumbs up

ok here is the story I was driving home from work like any other day but i was in a rush speeding really quick because i was trying to make to somewhere before it closed.

Well anyway I have a fuel cutoff switch installed on my 88 n/a 13b and as was driving along the fuel just automatically cut off (i could feel the car slowing until it came to a stop and the switch began flashing!!) so luckily i had an extra toggle switch in my glove box....also the switch I had in there melted at the bottom and the metal pronges starting coming out of the switch itself.

I threw it and it fired right up, now i kept on going and stoped at the mazda dealership that was nearby to ask them a few questions about fuel consumption and how my temp gauge was not even going past a quarter of the way.

SO they wernt much help in that matter and i went to start my car back up but it would only crank and not turn over and start?....also i noticed that the tach was just flatlined.. normally it would at least move up and down a little even if the fuel was totally cut off so im not too sure what the hell i did, or could possibly be wrong with!!!

Someone help me please i have too work tommorow and I stayed home from work today without a ride im f**Cked so any help or input would be greatly appreaciated. thanks

i had a similar problem , with the tach and the no start, turns out the starter burnt up and the main ground from the battery was loose, wasnt totaly off the car just loose enuff to cause a short inturn burnt up the starter, installed new starter tightend the ground and everything was fine.

hope that helps
