I am trying to solve a problem. I just did an engine swap. and ever since i have this vibration. I am thinking its the tourqe converter. but one issue im trying to get past is there is a black chip that grounds to the top of the tranny where the trap door is to tighten the flex plate. its black with a wire going to it, I broke the wire going to it and im trying to see if this might be the problem. maybe its some auto computerized vibration dampening system or somthing. anyone know what this part is? thanks

what did you use for a flexplate/flywheel? also if i recall there is a counterbalance weight used on automatic cars. maybe there is a mismatch of parts going on here. and no these is not a auto vibration dampening system

The wire is for the oil preasure sender, its used to keep the sender from grounding out. youll kno wthis happens because when the wire isnt hooded up to anything, the oil preassure will be below zero on the guage, and will be above the highest point if grounded out.

Right on.. ok then that isnt my problem then, Maybe someone can answer this for me. I did an engine swap.

Now i have vibration from hell. Remember this is an auto tran.. i put the counter weight on and the flex plate. but they were from my old engine. can this cause a problem? I cant get a answer on if all counter weights/ flex plates are weighted diffrently. are they tuned and balenced from the dealer when new? or are they all the same? thats all i gotta know..

what engine did you put in it? if its not the same as the one that came out, it might be counterbalanced differently.
