I had my left rear caliper replaced by the dealer ship they told me my pads were real low and now I have this scrapping noise from that caliper is that my break pad or something else?? It used to only do it when I pushed the breaks but now it happens when I turn and start off to hard what could this be??

if your pad is gone and it went into the rotor youll need to replace them to. Look at your rotor if there is any cuts or groves in them theyll have to be replaced.

 

You might be able to have them turned if they have been scared. Like $10 each at PepBoys or your local auto center. Only if it's very deep or if your rotors have been turned many previous times should you have to replace them.

 

can they turn them without removing them from the car?

 

I dont have rotors turned anymore last time i did the people messed them up and they needed to be replaced anyway.

I didn't think they could turn the rotors on the car? My friend's minivan had that problem too. It was b/c the pads were worn the the steel.

 

They turned them on my mom's Honda, and it is usually better to turn them on the car, because it will keep them true to the car, and not true to the machine.

 

its a very expensive machine that few shops have, its REALLY expensive compared to a table lathe.
